Canon’s new Powershot G16 is the best point and shoot on the market! Canon recently released this new camera, replacing the Powershot 15 (really). Besides an uncreative name the Powershot G16 comes with several upgrades from the 15.
The new camera now sports a Digic 6 processor, 60p video capture, speedier autofocus and the ability to shoot 9.3fps in burst mode. The other major update is the inclusion of built-in WiFi, which now allows users to upload photos to Flickr, YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, and Canon’s Image Gateway.
Unchanged specs include the same 12.1MP 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensor looking out at the world through an identical 5x 28-140mm (35mm equivalent) f/1.8-2.8 lens. The G16 will be available starting in October, and is the most expensive of the new line, tipping the scales at $550.
